Living In Limbo….But You Should Grab This!
ByWell, here I am. 3 weeks on from my last blog post. I’m thinking that is probably too long to be leaving between blog posts and in time I hope to rectify that. Perhaps in the future I will have lots more to talk about but more importantly a lot more people to talk to.
Or maybe I have so much to talk about that I can’t focus on one subject at a time!! Yeah, that sounds more like it.
On a personal note I am still waiting on the arrival of my first kiddywink. He’s now over a week overdue and the waiting is driving me round the bend. At least it allows me the time to keep working on my IM business.
That side of things is continuing to grow at a steady pace and if I could give one piece of advice to the newbie IM’er it is to have patience. There are no get rich quick schemes here. We are about building a profitable BUT sustainable online business. If you are looking for a quick cash injection or a part-time income then I’m sure there are systems out there that can help but I am pursuing the dream of becoming a full-time IM’er and for that I need longevity.
As for those goals, what have I achieved so far?
The biggest advancement that I have made is in the most important part of my business – my list. On my last blog post I only had a few hundred subscribers, today it is sitting at approx 850.
I am happy with the progress I am making and the beauty of building a bigger list is that everything starts to go into overdrive. If you adswap with a list of 200 and get 5% conversions then you are only getting 10 subscribers a day but when you adswap with a 2000 list you will get 100 a day, therefore you move to the next level a lot quicker.
So please remember that it’s the getting started that is the difficult part. Once you have momentum you will start to make great strides in a far shorter period of time.
So this moves me nicely on to my next point which is the release of Alex Jeffreys new “Triple Threat Affilate” product.
Basically Alex is giving away one of the webinars that we had as part of the Alex Jeffreys Coaching Program and in all honesty this is the one that blew me away.
My journey started when I began Alex’s course, it cost me just under $1000 to do so but now you can get started for nothing. I fully intend to reach my destination and I will always remain thankful for Alex’s advice.
So do yourself a favour and get this webinar:

I’ll leave this post there and by the time I post again my life will have been turned upside down and inside out and, I NEVER thought I’d say this but I’m quite looking forward to it.
Famous last words!!

Hey Andy,
I was just going through my top commentators and thought I’d pop by and see what you’re up to!
Sounds like you’ve been busy on the old adswaps, that’s what I intend to do once my list is big enough. 850 on your list great already is a great achievement, and I’m sure it’s grown even more by now?
I’ve just about got mine up to 100, which is pretty embarrassing compared to yours and others people I know. But I’m just happy to have got that far right now.
At what point do you think I should start doing adswaps, I personally think 100 is too small, someone else said I should try and start now? Maybe I’m just shy and embarrassed of asking with a list so small… I’d feel more comfortable getting it up to 200 at least really.
I’m happy to hear you’re nearly ready to be a dad, I guess we’ll be congratulating you in your next post then!
Take care mate,
Paul

Congrats on getting to 850 subscribers so quickly mate! It certainly seems like (quality) adswaps are the way forward and that exponential growth makes patience key.
I haven’t got round to ad swapping yet – want to build my list a little bigger first to make swapping more appealing to prospective partners.
I think that as MWAers we’re pretty luck to have a solid group of people who we can trust for things, like adswaps, when we’re starting out.
Congrats on the kiddy (when he/she finally gets here!!) Enjoy the quiet while it lasts

Hi Andy,
Well done on reaching 850 subscribers. However the money is NOT in the list but the relationship we build with the list.
A little tip:
Once you start gaining subscribers as well as sending them quality ad swaps DONT forget to email the once in a while with a personal email asking them if you can help them and dont include any links…..
This builds more trust and value.
Ad Swaps:
As you said when you first start to build your list, it is slow but as your list size increases so does your sign ups.
I send every other day with sunday off, however i know others that send twice a day. I would not recommend that when you start or you may have more un-subscribers than subscribers.
To get more ad-swaps with people with a bigger size list contact them and offer them to send there email 2 or 3 times if they send to twice your list size.
Good Luck
Mark Terrell

Congrats Michael on the arrival of your first ‘kiddywink’ as you put it – great pic!
Re your post: you make it sound like a pure numbers game, yet isn’t ‘less is more’ or better put ‘quality over quantity’ at least as strong a motto when it comes to true engagement and the right conversion?!
PS Thank you for your feedback to my blog http://ow.ly/Tdu2 – feedback also welcome on @phasselsmonning
Hi there Paul,
I totally agree with your comment about quality over quantity and engaging with your subscribers. We learn that the money is not “in” the list but actually in the relationship with the list.
But, a lot of relationship building in this business can be automated and if you can do this while building a substantial list of subscribers then you can develop the income that we are all looking for.
In the end, everything is a numbers game and ideally I’d like to have 1000 dedicated, hungry subscribers but I may have to go through 5000 people to find them.
